According to the American Heritage Dictionary the meaning of the phrase coming to full circle is: When something “comes full circle,” it completes a cycle, returns to its beginnings.

I am celebrating that as this new year of 2016 begins I have come full circle.

full circle

I chose last year as my word to define my life in 2015 light hearted.  Things went well until early spring and then a series of heart breaking event occurred in my life.  As each event happened, it became increasingly more difficult to cling to even a shred of a light hearted attitude toward life.  I found myself at the end of 2015 feeling very glum and being very sure I did not have the emotional resources to change my attitude.   But I tried.  And I am here to celebrate that I have come full circle.  Although I have chosen another word to define my life this year, I am starting this year with the same attitude as last year.  I am willing to be open to the possibility of letting my heart be light on a daily basis.

Wishing you a light heart in 2016,

Bernadette

P.S.  My word for 2016 is PERSEVERANCE
