CELEBRATING – HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL

MY WEEKLY THANK YOU NOTE TO GOD. THANK YOU RUTH AYERS FOR MAKING THIS SPACE AVAILABLE.
MY WEEKLY THANK YOU NOTE TO GOD. THANK YOU RUTH AYERS FOR MAKING THIS SPACE AVAILABLE.

This week with all due apologies to Alexander Pope, I am celebrating:

Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man always is continually blest.

My first celebration came with the end of a long drawn out problem that had divided our family for almost three years.  I dared to hope for an end to this problem but not only did we receive the blessing of an end but the balm of a loving end for the family.

After joyfully celebrating this gift for two days, I received a telephone call that my very dear friend was going into emergency surgery the next morning for removal of a brain tumor.  Joy was quickly replaced by fear.  The second celebration came on Friday when her daughter let me know she had survived the surgery and hope has bloomed again in my frail human heart.

And my third celebration is the beauty of spring which is what I hope for a lot on cold, grungy days when I forlornly look out my kitchen windows at gray desolation.  Here is the answer to those hopes for spring on those mornings –

And my fourth celebration is my hope for the future the birthday today of my fantastic grandson Lucas.  Who was a long held hope fulfilled in the very best possible way.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCAS WITH LOADS OF LOVE, MEME.
