Samhain

My thoughts have gone increasingly the past few days to my son, Andrew, who died this year. I think this lovely poem reflects what I have been feeling.

About Bernadette

I live in the small town of Haddonfield, NJ. I am at an age in my life when I seem to spend time thinking and musing about life. These musings are usually stimulated by my walks through Haddonfield, my reading of books and fellow bloggers, and my interaction with my group of fabulous family and friends.

  1. Bernadette – lMadeleine L’Engle once said we are made from the stuff of stars. May Andrew’s soul shine in your heart & beam brightly from the Other Side. Love & hugs. βœ¨πŸ’œβœ¨πŸŒ·βœ¨πŸ€—βœ¨πŸŒ·βœ¨πŸ’œβœ¨

  2. Bernadette, my heart goes out to you as you grapple with your big loss. If hugs helped I would send you a starship full.
Your poem is so beautiful and warmed me deep to the soul. This is how I always thought of this evening. Remembering, honouring and loving our ancestors and loved ones that gone before.

So with you and many around the globe that is what I will do.
