The Starry Night
Vincent van Gogh
“When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.
William Shakespeare

Bernadette, my very deepest condolences to you and your family. For such sorrow to come visiting is a heavy burden for a parent. May you be carried in the arms of your angels and be blessed and surrounded by Love and the support of friends and family as you walk through this valley of shadows.

Saw this just today. We have a saying that the heaviest burden in the world, is that of a child’s coffin on a parent’s shoulder. I have lost a child, too. May God give you the forbearance and strength to face it. May his soul rest in peace!

One day you will be able to walk this place, speak about what you wish to speak,
It will be with a different gait, with a different voice.
But when you can it will be one I would like to greet. Xxx

I apologise for coming late to the place where you may not mind a “stranger’s” hug, Bernadette.
I have observed you as a dear commenter on Fiona’s (Osyth) blog. I have children and grandchildren so my heart goes out to you. . . Sending you love and hoping memories may give you some comfort. Sincerely, Robin
