BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.
I invite you to come and join me on this pilgrimage to change the world through thankfulness. Perhaps if enough of us join together we can change the negative climate that exists and is overtaking our planet. Together we can move our fellow citizens of to a better, higher and finer place.
Dom and I have lived in our small town for 38 years. During that time we have had the pleasure of meeting many interesting people. Some of the people have made a place in our hearts and became loved ones. Other people have touched our lives and changed our lives and then moved on to different places. Saturday night we had the rare opportunity of reconnecting with a couple who touched our family’s life and improved it. When my oldest sons were little boys they went through a bad patch of seemingly not knowing how to go about making friends. The couple we reconnected with had two children who went out of their way to befriend David and Andrew. I don’t think Nancy and Dave probably even realize what a difference they made in my early days of mothering. I am so thankful that the circle of life brought them back to me.
“Man is not equal to life. There is more to do than one can do alone, and an unfriended life will be poor and meagre. If I were to face life with the choice of either a fortune or friends, I would choose friends.” T.T. Munger
I hope that by writing these posts that we will move together beyond thankfulness into appreciation. Because appreciation for the moments and things for which we give thanks requires us to be mindful of our lives.
At the end of the post you will find a link up frog and I hope you will join me on this venture and once a week write a post and link up to others and share what you are thankful for this week.
PLEASE ADD YOUR POST AND TOGETHER WE WILL CHANGE THE WORLD.
Sometimes we don’t realize that our actions have an impact in other’s lives. These parents obviously taught their children to be kind…. Kindness begets many good things… Diane

Thank you for sharing your past experience. Many people who had crossed my path made such significance in our life and affected the way we currently are.

A life without friends is a poor life indeed. In my place, we say that there’s wealth to be found in the presence of others and your beautiful post portrays this. To wonderful friendships like that of Nancy and Andrew.

Hi Bernadette, I’m thankful this week for a wonderful Good Friday presentation by the choir and orchestra tonight, and I’m singing in the choir.
