A great thankfulness post about life’s lessons.
My nephews are super cute, not only are they adorable, but they question my sanity as to why my family and I live in the desert. As one nephew stated, “WHY would you want to live THERE!” Well if you have followed my blog you will know living here was not really a choice. Nevertheless, life delves us lessons in the most unexpected places; we should always look for the possibilities–even when they are not a part of the plan. As we often state in the military: “Adapt and Overcome.” After all… it is ALWAYS possible to bloom amongst the thorns. I am very thankful for those life lessons and all the people who have helped me to see past life’s many thorns. It seems these pricks were simply pointing me into a new direction.

I respect and admire your adaptability—I love hot, dry weather, so living in the desert would not be a hardship for me!
