BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.
I invite you to come and join me on this pilgrimage to change the world through thankfulness. Perhaps if enough of us join together we can change the negative climate that exists and is overtaking our planet. Together we can move our fellow citizens of to a better, higher and finer place.
Saturday afternoon found me on a date with Dom. We went to the movie theatre and watched the live broadcast from the Metropolitan Opera of La Traviata. This is an opera that we have seen many times, but like all good stories, it never gets old. It was such a treat to be at the movies on a Saturday afternoon and watch this magnificent production. The cast sang exquisitely and one of the bonus treats is during the intermission the singers came back stage for a live interview. It is so interesting to watch them shed the character they are portraying and just become ordinary people talking about their families and their craft.
One of our first dates was sitting in a park and watching opera accompanied by a piano. Music has always been an important part of our family’s life. I am so thankful that I have been able to share so many magnificent musical moments with Dom and our family.
If you get a chance go see this performance. A lot of theaters will repeat this broadcast on Wednesday evening.
“Many say that life entered the human body by the help of music, but the truth is that life itself is music.” Hafiz
I hope that by writing these posts that we will move together beyond thankfulness into appreciation. Because appreciation for the moments and things for which we give thanks requires us to be mindful of our lives.
At the end of the post you will find a link up frog and I hope you will join me on this venture and once a week write a post and link up to others and share what you are thankful for this week.
PLEASE ADD YOUR POST AND TOGETHER WE WILL CHANGE THE WORLD.
What a lovely day and love that music quote

This is sweet Bernadette. You obviously had a wonderful time and music does something totally unexplainable to the human mind thus I agree with that quote.

I love that theaters are now showing things like operas. So many people cannot afford the opera ticket price, or simply aren’t near a large city with an opera house. And spreading culture can only help us all . . .

Yes, it is a very good and easy way to get to see things that may be out of the reach of a viewer for a variety of reasons. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment.

It’s a great idea! Thank you. I’m pretty sure the movie theaters near me have the same sort of things. I’ll have to check out the schedule.
