Soul Baring Fright

Eugenia shares a darkly romantic poem with us in response to the prompt.

Bernadette from Haddon Musing invites us to use the prompt and the photo and write a piece of purple prose or poetry starting with It was a darkand stormy night.  Let’s have some spooky fun.  Post your link in the comments section

It was a dark and stormy night

Fragile trees with gnarled knees

Their appearance quite a fright

I walked for miles and miles

As I was pulled by your smiles

A fingernail moon in a sable sky

Oh Father time, if only I could fly

My soul bared with overwhelming fright

This nightmarish ride will etch my life

Suddenly a breeze brushed my face

Sensations of another sharing my space

Tranquility speaks as I encountered no harm

My soul can slumber while cradled in your arms

-Eugenia

Cheers! 🎃

About Bernadette

I live in the small town of Haddonfield, NJ. I am at an age in my life when I seem to spend time thinking and musing about life. These musings are usually stimulated by my walks through Haddonfield, my reading of books and fellow bloggers, and my interaction with my group of fabulous family and friends.
