In the spirit of fun and frivolity of Halloween, I am going to share with you some very funny excerpts from a book by Sally Swain titled Great Housewives of Art. I hope you enjoy this tongue in cheek feminist offering.
SALLY SWAIN YOU ROCK!

I especially love the Lautrec one. In the UK ‘loo’ is slang for toilet, so that makes him Two Loos Lautrec 😊

Love the way Mrs. Degas vacuums! Isn’t that the way we all did it in the 1950s? Except, if I remember correctly, we did it in high heels!

So funny to see the paintings and some of them a bit manipulated. I have a sad one! that is Degas’s “The Absinthe Drinker”. You see how she is sitting alone degenerating because of the poisonous drink at a cafe in Paris.
I wanted to email a picture to you about Bonhoeffer. I can´t find your email unfortunately. Mine is mariaholm51@gmail.com
If you see this note and email me I can send it. I am home again for more blogging. Love Maria
