“Autumn slips in like a fairy queen, spreads her cloak and everything changes.”
Bernadette Laganella
Hustle and Bustle have returned again
and have banished the ice cream man.
They have replaced his merry ring
with the school bell’s ding.
Hustle and Bustle shake the acorns free
and the squirrels become busy bees.
Those ladies mop up summer’s wet air
returning the sun’s bright glare.
They hang a lantern of orange in the sky
and invite the night creatures to fly.
Hustle and her sister Bustle prepare the way
for the autumn fairy princess to come and play.

I just received your post, and it is so beautiful and uplifting I really needed that today! Thank you! But I have a question, I hope you don’t mind me asking, i dont know where/who to contact. I’m very new to WordPress dot-com and I’m having trouble understanding how to set it up my log. Do you happen to know if there is a contact with WordPress that I could call that could help me? Any suggestions are appreciated 🙂

If you go to Word Press.com there is a forum for technical questions and also I believe an Email form you can for questions. Good luck.

Lovely poem. Bernadette. The bits and pieces of autumn clearly shine through. Poor Mr Ice-Cream man. But now that it is warmer and spring in Australia, I am sure he will get more and more popular here 😀 “a lantern of orange in the sky….” I wonder what that is. It reminds me of lit-up pumpkins that come around during Halloween. Happy Autumn 🙂

Thanks for that, Bernadette. How lucky you get to see orange moons where you are. I just bought a tub of ice-cream today. I will have a bowl for you 😀

Beautiful imagery, Bernadette. It makes me look forward to autumn. The heat will remain where I live for another month, so the Ice Cream man’s job will be safe 🙂
