I couldn’t let this important moment in history go by, so whatever your political leanings are celebrate that WOMEN ROCK!
FEMINIST FRIDAY

About Bernadette
I live in the small town of Haddonfield, NJ. I am at an age in my life when I seem to spend time thinking and musing about life. These musings are usually stimulated by my walks through Haddonfield, my reading of books and fellow bloggers, and my interaction with my group of fabulous family and friends.
It is quite monumental that women have come this far.
But it’s like every job—may the best person equipped for it be selected—not because of race, sex, hair color, religion and all those factors!!

It is a milestone that many women have dreamed about and worked toward for decades. We thank each one who has bravely carried the banner for womens’ rights enduring ridicule, doubt, abuse, lies and dismissal. Thank you for leading us forward, clearing a path for future travelers.

Reblogged. It is indeed a step toward equality. I’m just sorry it has been so hard for her to get there.

I really believe that, were all world leaders women, there would be far less conflict, and greater equality in everything.

Role models do matter. Plus: the woman is also the most qualified contender. Canada had a female prime minister – briefly. Interesting that the UK now has its second female PM, and Angela Merkel has been perhaps the strongest leader in Europe.
