Revealing the beauty and truth of life through the eyes of our elders.
Welcome back to the Senior Salon. I am doing something different today. If you have a post about what has happened in Orlando make that your link today.
We have had many new bloggers join our Salon. Please pick out some new blogs to read and introduce yourself and make them feel welcome.
After linking to this blog, in the true spirit of a salon, please take the time to read someone else’s blog and comment and offer encouragement on their artistic endeavors.
We have walked our paths a long time and have a lot to offer. Come and reveal your artistic vision.
Below you will find the button to link your blog. Just tap on this button to link your blog. After tapping you will be led to a page with a few things to fill out and then a snapshot of your blog will appear on this page for anyone to tap onto and read. THIS LINK WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT ON MONDAY.

A very devastating event happened only one day before in Orlando. My daughter’s complete idol who was signing autographs after her concert the night before the massacre got gunned down by a concert-goer and she died from her gunshot wounds. My daughter is reeling, and so completely devastated. The amazingly talent lady who was shot was 23, her name is Christina Grimmie, and won third place on The Voice two years ago. My daughter started following her on YouTube way before she went on The Voice, and even played her piano version of the song Titanium released in 2012 for her piano recital the next year in 2013. Her heart is breaking. So while my heart also breaks for those senselessly gunned down in Orlando at the nightclub, every life is precious. All of them. Each and every one. Thanks for letting me share my thoughts on this. xo

Yes, every life is valuable and should be protected. Something has to be done to stop the madness.

I have to say that my virginal Salon experience was rather enjoyable. I initially thought I might click on one or two links and then continue on with my life, but several hours later I’m still clicking and exploring. I’ve been to every site and I found some great blogs to follow. Thank you so much for this opportunity and for gently prodding me to become involved. This concept (and the ease of use) is fascinating, and now I’m contemplating how I could set up something similar on one of my own sites without it looking like I traitorously stole your idea, even though that’s exactly what I would be doing. Hmmm…

Brian, It is not such an original idea but I am glad that you are participating enjoying. I think what makes my link stand out is that I don’t want anyone to put my name on their post. I am trying to build a village of like minded creative people.

Hello Bernadette! I don’t know if you expect only “Orlanda posts” today. I posted one on our American relative coming to us to search her roots. I can’t write about the shootings but I pray for your country and your election/Love Maria

Don’t worry about that it was only a suggestion.

Hi Bernadette. I’ve been following your TWT blog for some time. I would like to contact you with a personal question. How may I do that? By email or phone?
