Marie Curie: Physicist and Chemist who was awarded the Nobel Prize twice for her work in radioactivity:
“Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.”
Tomorrow it will be my pleasure to introduce you to Frances Arnold, the first woman to win the Millennium Technology Prize.
Look forward to reading about her life and work. I have always admired Marie Curie, her life, work and dedication. One amazing woman and she paid the price for her commitment.

It’s nice to see women in every area nowadays!! I think we can all benefit from both sexes in different subjects since everyone’s perspective is different!!

I’m so happy you didn’t put a “spoiler” in your post because I have no idea who Frances Arnold is and I’m looking forward to learning about her tomorrow!

So great to focus on women scientists. I thought my daughter would follow my footsteps and major in English literature and writing (her poems are incredible). But no, she got a BS and then MS in Science and teaches 6th grade science. Her goal is to inspire budding female scientists, and that she does! (sorry for the brag, but still…) 🙂
