Recently, I wrote about my wonderful vacation but during this vacation I picked up an unwelcome pet I named Igor –
Well, it has been a week and I thought I was done with wildlife and back to the routine of the everyday – looking at the robins puffing themselves up to get warm these cold spring mornings, welcoming back my chipmunk that lives under my house and watching the occasional flash of cardinal red land in the glorious yellow forsythia bush.
Until on my way to the office yesterday, into my oncoming path of traffic, strolls this huge, and I am not exaggerating, HUGE BLACK vulture who has decided that it wants to cross three lanes of traffic –
I, of course, gave way for the creature and then shook off the creepy feeling it gave me and proceeded to the office. Well, as I was pulling into the parking lot of the office, I happened to look up into the sky and this is what I saw –
Now, I am not saying it is the same vulture and that it followed me to the office but it sure did give me a nasty turn. I know St. Francis had all kind of wildlife following him around but I think I would like something a little more tame, like a nice dog or a cat.
Happy spring,
Bernadette
Of course we laugh that it’s their outside and we only get the inside parts (that’s where I draw the line and actually kill the spiders (gasp, I know). jodie
