Last night found Dom and I at a wine dinner that we regularly attend with a group of friends. It is something we always look forward to attending because it is a chance to try different varieties of wines and the food is always designed to accompany the types of wine that have been chosen to showcase that evening.
But last night was a special treat for me. Most of my friends, including myself, have been away on vacation for the last few weeks and I felt like we were like the swallows returning to San Juan, Capistrano.
There was almost a fiesta like feeling in the room as we all buzzed about from one person to the other and hugged and kissed and inquired about each other lives. Ah, what more can I celebrate this morning than to be blest to be able to witness and belong to such a group of friends
Sending love,
Bernadette
That sounds like fun.

Did the same thing last night. Not an organized dinner, per se, but wine, appetizers, friendship…The.Best. Thanks for reminding me to be grateful!

Just like coming back to school after a long vacation, so much to talk about with those you haven’t seen in a while. I’d love a celebration dinner like that.

Sounds very wonderful, Bernadette. A celebration with many returning from vacation means lots of sharing, too.
