CELEBRATING VACATION BEGINNINGS AND ENDINGS

MY WEEKLY THANK YOU NOTE TO GOD. THANK YOU RUTH AYERS FOR MAKING THIS SPACE AVAILABLE.
MY WEEKLY THANK YOU NOTE TO GOD. THANK YOU RUTH AYERS FOR MAKING THIS SPACE AVAILABLE.

I have been away for the last twelve days.  And I have been on a deliberate writing fast.  I know that in diet, fasting can speed up your metabolism and give all your organs a bit of a rest.  So, I decided to use this time to see if the writing muse needed a break and will reward me with lots of creative moments going forward.

So, I celebrate the beginning of 12 days spent in paradise with my wonderful husband.  It wasn’t such an onerous place to fast.  I even inherited a pet who I named Igor (even though his presence every morning was a bit unnerving).

And I celebrate the end of vacation and my writing fast and a return to you my gentle readers.  I have missed our conversations.

About Bernadette

I live in the small town of Haddonfield, NJ. I am at an age in my life when I seem to spend time thinking and musing about life. These musings are usually stimulated by my walks through Haddonfield, my reading of books and fellow bloggers, and my interaction with my group of fabulous family and friends.

  1. SO glad you had a good vacation – but delighted to welcome you back! You were missed – you’re like the center pole of the tent that keeps us all together. Can’t wait to see your new writing…(wonder what Igor may inspire!)

  2. Bernadette, you and your new pet will spark the pages of your writing notebook and bring us the pleasures of a writing fast. That is a great idea to be unplugged. I tried a mini-break this morning-no chats, just baking with a creative flair for a dinner party tonight. I can’t wait to see what the muse offers you.
