Dear Spirit, Holy Creator,

As I gaze upon this last moon of 2015

my heart is filled with prayer.

I pray that I and my fellow brothers and sisters

will contemplate this same beautiful moon

and our hearts will become enchanted.

The enchantment will fill our hearts with love

for ourselves and for all our fellow citizens of this planet.

I pray that this enchantment will last through all of 2016.

I pray that it will cause us to look up at each other

with awe and love,

and prevent our gaze from looking down upon each other

with anger and hate.
