Just In Time

Easter Morning
Easter Morning

I have been meditating for about 15 years.  I try various forms of meditation because I still haven’t learned how to tame my thoughts.  Some days I just drive myself crazy with the chit chat that goes on in my noggin.  One of the craziest things that happens to me when I meditate is I hear songs complete with orchestration and lyrics.  Before I know what is happening I completely caught up with the song.

The form of meditation I am currently using involves repeating a prayer or a spiritual passage.  I chose Psalm 23.  So this Easter morning as I was repeating Psalm 23 along came Frank Sinatra singing Just In Time.  I struggled to get back to the Psalm but Frank kept singing away.  So I stopped and really thought about the lyrics and how beautifully they can apply to God’s love.  Maybe I will start repeating these words because I remembered this morning you can find God’s love everywhere.

Just in time
I found you just in time
Before you came my time
Was running low

I was lost
The losing dice were tossed
My bridges all were crossed
Nowhere to go

Now you’re here
And now I know just where I’m going
No more doubt or fear
I’ve found my way

Wishing you a week filled with pleasant melodies,

About Bernadette

I live in the small town of Haddonfield, NJ. I am at an age in my life when I seem to spend time thinking and musing about life. These musings are usually stimulated by my walks through Haddonfield, my reading of books and fellow bloggers, and my interaction with my group of fabulous family and friends.

  1. Meditating is tricky business, our minds are always so full of thoughts. I think you’ve stumbled upon a way that works for you. Keep thinking and singing!
