Ode to Snow

  • I woke up this morning to see
  • Mother Nature had played a trick on me.
  • Expecting to see the green of the clover,
  • There was white all over.
  • I thought April 1 it must be,
  • But St. Pat’s the calendar told me.
  • No luck for the Irish today.
  • I guess we will have to wait for May.
