On Valentine’s Day I received the loveliest of good news, my dear friends, Nancy and Bill, got engaged and set a date to get married.
The fact that none of us are exactly young anymore, (except in our own minds), made this news all the sweeter. At our age life seems to be filled with an awful lot of disturbing news and losses. Nancy and Bill’s engagement is such a sign of trust and hope in each other and the future, it is a balm to all of their friends. This is a tonic that I plan on taking a spoonful of daily.
So here’s to you Nancy and Bill,
As old blue eyes sang, “Love is lovelier the second time around, Just as wonderful with two feet on the ground”.
Wishing you a week filled with hope,
Bernadette
Finding a person to travel through life is precious indeed. Best wishes to you friends!
