I had a week filled with grim news about family and friends. The news was enough to send me off looking for my copy of Rabbi Kushner’s book, “When Bad Things Happen To Good People”.
I was at a Christmas party Friday night and struggling to keep the old smile on my face. I was introduced to a lovely woman and we talked and looked for common interests. We started talking about how much we love our labs. She shared this picture of her lab who thinks it is a child.
It is amazing how the smallest conversation can brighten your day.
Hope I brightened your day,
Bernadette
That picture is too funny! Sorry you’ve had grim news. It is always surprising how we can find connections with new acquaintances. P.S. I will send you the cake recipe. 🙂

Yes you brightened my day. Animals are the best things. They provide so much uncomplicated warmth and goodness. It’s funny how the little unexpected things help. It’s a credit to you that you were open to finding that bright moment. Thank you for sharing.

Whenever I feel down, I make sure to be around not only my lab pouch, but also those that love dogs. Dog walkers can be the best day brighteners!

Something so important about making those small connections. Dogs have the power to do that.
