During my morning walk, I happened to notice a sign advertising a run to benefit HHPTG. The sign reads “Run Like Its Recess”. I thought what a clever idea. Remember how much unbridled fun it was to run around the school yard at recess.
As I kept walking, I couldn’t help but notice that nature was making the landscape a bit messy. Of course, the mind wandered off to how much work is ahead restoring order to our lawns and flower beds.
And then, I stepped into a pile of very dry leaves. What a wonderful crackling noise they made. And how much fun to feel that crunch under my sneaks. The crackle and crunch were so much fun they restored my good humor and reminded me to have some fun and look at life like a child. Children always seem to find the fun in every situation.
“Great artist come and go; They are born and they die: but there is one exception who has been living for thousands of years and still continues new works, new beauties every year; The Autumn!” Mehmet Murat ildon. murataldonquotations.wordpress.com
Go out this weekend and enjoy the tapestry, run like its recess and jump into a pile of leaves. Your soul will thank you.
